Here is a work in progress shot of the linocut I’m doing. I’ve sketched in the layout drawing with my trusty Col-Erase red pencil and I’m in the process of inking the lines with a Kuretake Sumi Brush Pen. I really should write a glowing review of this pen because it’s wonderful. The lines flow beautifully, particularly on the smooth surface of the linoleum, much more so than in my sketchbook. The line variation, as you can see is incredibly versatile. Even the even-width lines of the teeth are done with the brush pen, just as the broad single-stroke lines at the far right. I need to get a converter for the pen so I can fill it with a waterproof ink for sketching.
Anyway, that’s the most I’ve rambled on here in a while, so on to the linocut.
