Here is Part 2 of the head sculpt process, Part 1 here. The sculpt process gets pretty complicated here. The head base from Part 1 is covered in a very thin layer of Vaseline and then a thin layer of Milliput is formed over the base to create a two part mask. After the 4 hour curing process for the Milliput, details are sculpted over the two parts of the mask to create both the brow and mouth parts. The mouth is sculpted without any details to allow for different mouth shapes to be sculpted on top of the plastic casts.
After those pieces are baked the rest of the head (consisting of the hair and ears) is sculpted onto the head base.
The finals steps of the process will be detailed next!
